Chief Architect

Responsibilities

• Identifying the requirements for the project under development;

• Conducting an initial site inspection, taking measurements, and recording them on measurement sheets;

• Presenting and defending the prepared detailed design before the relevant state authorities during the review and approval process;

• Preparing the required presentation materials, including electronic presentations;

• Preparing master plans;

• Collaborating with engineers and other relevant specialists during the design process;

• Completing tasks responsibly, accurately, on time, and to a high standard;

• Working independently and as part of a team;

• Managing several tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail;

• Applying the construction standards and regulations currently in force in the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as practical design solutions.

Professional knowledge and skills

The candidate must be able to:

• Identify project requirements;

• Prepare concept and detailed designs for residential buildings;

• Prepare preliminary sketches and drawings;

• Discuss and coordinate projects with architects and other relevant specialists;

• Participate directly in preparing complete project packages consisting of architectural and engineering drawings;

• Present and defend projects before the relevant state authorities;

• Provide architectural supervision during the construction of designed facilities;

• Develop architectural, exterior, landscape, and detailed design solutions;

• Calculate project quantities and scopes of work, conduct site inspections, and take measurements.

Requirements

• University degree in a relevant field;

• At least five years of experience as a Chief Architect;

• Previous experience with construction companies and leading architectural firms is essential;

• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe software, 3ds Max, and other relevant programs;

• Knowledge of construction standards and regulations;

• Ability to deliver work on time and to a high standard;

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

• Strong organisational and management skills.

General information

• Location: Baku;

• Working schedule: Five days per week, 10:00–19:00;

• Lunch break: 13:00–14:00;

• Salary: AZN 1,000–1,500, determined by agreement according to the candidate’s knowledge and experience;

• Employment in accordance with the Labour Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan;

• Business trips to the regions of Azerbaijan may be required for ongoing projects;

• A one-month in-office probationary period will be conducted to assess the employee’s practical knowledge and skills.
